Rae Johnstone

William Raphael "Rae" Johnstone, was an Australian flat-race jockey. After enjoying considerable success in his native country, he relocated to Europe in 1932 and spent most of the rest of his life in France. He won twelve British Classic Races and two Prix de l'Arc de Triomphes. On his retirement in 1957 he was described as "one of the greatest international jockeys of modern times". He died of a heart attack in 1964.

He rose to prominence as a founding member of the hip-hop group Wu-Tang Clan, which achieved mainstream success following the release of their debut album, Enter the Wu-Tang , in 1993. Raekwon would subsequently pursue a solo career, releasing his first solo album, entitled Only Built 4 Cuban Linx..., in 1995. The album received critical acclaim, and is regarded by many critics as one of the greatest hip-hop albums of all time, as well as a staple of 1990s rap.

One of the top male Italian stars of the 1950s and '60s, he first became known for his association with the neorealist movement, and found success in several international productions. On stage, he was closely associated with the works of Arthur Miller. He played the role of Eddie Carbone in A View from the Bridge several times, notably in Sidney Lumet's 1962 film adaptation, for which he won the David di Donatello for Best Actor.

Rafael Batista Sánchez (November 12, 1945 – October 25, 2008) was a first baseman in Major League Baseball. He was born in San Pedro de Macorís, Dominican Republic. Batista was signed by the Milwaukee Braves as an amateur free agent before the 1965 season, and drafted by the Houston Astros from the Atlanta Braves in the 1967 minor league draft (November 28, 1967). He played for the Astros in 1973 and 1975. Batista died in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, at the age of 62.

Rafael Silvaido Landestoy Santana (born May 28, 1953) is a retired Major League Baseball player. Landestoy played eight major league seasons with the Houston Astros, Cincinnati Reds, and Los Angeles Dodgers. He amassed 291 hits, a .237 batting average, and four home runs, primarily as a middle infielder. On October 10, 1984 he was released by the Los Angeles Dodgers. Landestoy is now the manager for Tigres del Licey in the Dominican Republic. He also currently serves as the International Field Coordinator for the New York Mets, a position he has held since 2008.

Rafael Edgardo Montalvo Torres (born March 31, 1964, Río Piedras, Puerto Rico) is a former Major League Baseball pitcher whose time in the big leagues consisted of only 1 inning in 1 game at the age of 22. He holds the record with several other pitchers for having the shortest career. His one appearance came on Sunday, April 13, 1986, as a member of the Houston Astros. He pitched one inning against the Atlanta Braves and allowed one run, one hit, and two walks. Shortly thereafter he was demoted to the Tucson Toros in the minor leagues. After the Astros reached the 1986 NLCS he was awarded $500 as his share of the winnings.
