Margaret Ruth Kidder (October 17, 1948 – May 13, 2018), known professionally as Margot Kidder, was a Canadian-American actress whose career spanned five decades. Her accolades include three Canadian Screen Awards and one Daytime Emmy Award. Though she appeared in an array of film and television roles, Kidder is most widely known for her performance as Lois Lane in the Superman film series, appearing in the first four films.

She is probably best known as the large and huge-breasted tobacconist in Federico Fellini's Amarcord, whose sexual arousal by the male teenager protagonist ends with ironic results. This casting occurred ten years after Fellini first cast her in an uncredited role (as a screen test candidate for La Saraghina) in 8½. In a minor plot point, her performance in Amarcord is discussed fondly by the characters in John Irving's Until I Find You (2005).

She became controversially known as a Filipina beauty queen and an actress in several sexually provocative Filipino films. Lopez was previously married to a Japanese national, Hiroshi Yokohama, later annulled. Lopez then married Jonathan Melrod in the United States. She is a mosaic artist and a professional member of the Society of American Mosaic Artists and acts in various roles in Philippine cinema.

Maria Karnilova (August 3, 1920 – April 20, 2001) was an American dancer and actress. She was initially known legally as Maria Karniloff. She was born in Hartford, Connecticut, the daughter of Filip (Philip) and Stefanida Dovgolenko (or Dowholonok), emigrants from Tsarist Russia. The family later moved to Brooklyn, New York. She started her professional career in 1927 in the Children's Ballet of the Metropolitan Opera and joined the corps when Ballet Theater, now American Ballet Theater, was founded in 1939. She adopted the name Karniloff, and later, Karnilova as her professional name. Her professional surname was often ascribed as her own mother's maiden name, however, that is inaccurate as her mother's maiden name was "Shlonskaya".

Maria Anastacia Keogh (born 17 October 1982) is an Irish former playwright, musician, educator and actress. She wrote her first play A Change of Heart in 2008. The play was based on a modern-day story of Saint Francis of Assisi and she staged it in the Town Hall Theatre, Galway, to help raise funds for the Franciscan Abbey Church Roof Restoration Fund. After receiving a warm response from her first production she went to write and direct her next play, William Shakespeare's Contemporary Mix. The play was a story about the playwright William Shakespeare. He falls asleep and awakes in a dream. A humorous Pixie introduces Shakespeare to some of his best play characters from Hamlet to Macbeth.
