Early Life and College Career
John Terrence Lynch Jr. was born on September 25, 1971. He attended Torrey Pines High School in San Diego, California, where he excelled as a multi-sport athlete, standing out in both football and baseball. His talent on the diamond was significant enough that he was drafted by the Florida Marlins in the second round of the 1992 MLB draft, but Lynch chose instead to pursue football at Stanford University.
